Beyond excited!

Well last night was the BIG DAY! ROCK THE BLOCK: CANDYLAND! It was a major hit. We had over 350 visitors there. Not to mention another 40+ people there to help work the event. It was just incredible. Everything really came together. The food was delicious! The candyland characters were terrific! There was tons of candy and running kids. All the glory to Jesus. So thankful he blessed WSBC Memphis with such a great event.

Please pray for us now as we start follow-up with the 350 visitors that came. Pray we will be able to use this special night to continue to spread the gospel in our community. WSBC loves Memphis. I personally love Memphis. I'm excited to see what Jesus does in Memphis through our church.

First Recommendation...

Working as a children's director at a church replant in Memphis, TN has been incredible. I know without a doubt that God has called me to serve in this area. I must share with you one of my all time favorite resources. It is called the Jesus Storybook Bible. First, the art featured is so creative. Secondly, the author has a beautiful way of explaining each story in a way that children will understand but more importantly it brings each story back to Jesus. Children will see how old testament stories were a picture of Jesus to come. As an adult, I have a hard time reading these stories without crying. We have an incredible Savior, Rescuer, and Friend and He is "whispered on every page."

And I'm back...

Well it has been a while since I blogged. But I have scratched everything and decided to start over.

2011 has been a fantastic year so far. I can honestly say GOD is moving in my life in mighty ways. I'm in my 2nd year of seminary now, it has been a huge blessing. I'm thankful Jesus allows me to be in school. I never thought I would enjoy being back, but I have. I'm reading incredible things. My hope with this blog is to share with you all what Christ is teaching me, to share some of the funny moments of working in children's ministry, and to share my love for the city of Memphis.
